Anniversary Celebrations

Cedarkirk turns 50 in 2021! We want to honor and celebrate 50 years of outdoor ministry with you – our family. While we hadn’t anticipated celebrating this milestone in the midst of a global pandemic, there are still plenty of things we can do to recognize how much Cedarkirk means to all the folks who think of it as a second home.

Check out the opportunities below and see which ones you want to be a part of. We are hoping to add additional in-person events if the pandemic climate improves and it becomes safe to welcome larger numbers of people at camp again. Stay tuned!

Virtual Races – April 10 through June 5

Whether you’re a runner or not, we’ve got an option for you! Sign up individually to run or walk a classic 5k or a much shorter 0.5k (hey, we’re not all runners!). Or, grab some friends and family and register as a group to walk a total of 500 miles over a longer period. We’ve got limited edition race swag for all participants and some fun prizes, too! Register soon to have some fun and support Cedarkirk in our first-ever race event.

Head over to our Events Page for specifics and online registration.

StoryShare – throughout 2021

A lot of ministry has taken place over the past 50 years, and we all have stories from time spent at Cedarkirk. The stories are what bind us together, though we come from different places and varying generations. Stories from camp are the common language that allow us all to share in the bigger experience of Cedarkirk’s ministry.

We want to hear from you! Whether your story is serious or hilarious, about an instance of personal transformation or just a vivid memory, we will collect and catalogue recordings of people telling Cedarkirk’s story, then begin to share them. You don’t have to be a gifted speaker or polished writer, we just want to hear you share your experiences in your own words.

Celebration Weekend  |  September 3-5

This year’s annual Family Retreat Weekend will be filled with all sorts of special activities as we celebrate 50 years of transforming ministry. In addition to all the typical Cedarkirk fun we hope you’ll use this time to reconnect with old friends and camp staff.

More information will be posted closer to summer. We’re hopeful the pandemic will be in a much better place by the fall and we can gather together in a safe way!
