Senior High Leadership (SHL)

A leadership program focused on service, spiritual growth, and absurd amounts of fun.

Completed Grades 9–12

Find out why SHL campers return year after year—and why many go on to become Cedarkirk counselors!

SHL is a week-long summer camp experience where you’ll learn what it means to serve God and one another in Christian community while developing real leadership skills. You’ll learn by doing: helping lead recreation and games for younger campers, washing dishes, assisting with camp activities, working as a team, and taking on responsibility.

Every SHL participant completes 30 hours of community service during the week.

And you’re still a camper! When you’re not serving, you’ll be swimming, hunting for shark’s teeth, climbing the ropes course, enjoying late-night snack cookouts, exploring the outdoors, and making memories with your small group. Each evening, you’ll have time for faith, reflection, and conversation with your group.

Through it all, you’ll build confidence, communication, teamwork, responsibility, and leadership skills—while discovering more about yourself and the difference you can make.

You don’t have to be a leader already. You just have to be willing to serve, try new things, and grow.
